Featured Work from Home Opportunity, Event Planning
Are you organized? do you like working with people and the fascinating industry of event planning?
A challenging and fast paced job as an event planner may be the right career for you.
It takes time, but you can build a business where people call you to plan birthday parties, weddings, showers, promotional events, and more.
You have to be very detailed oriented and excited about décor, the planning process, and always be marketing your services.
You can choose your specialty too. Maybe corporate planning is a good way to go, you can market yourself to businesses that host different events, Christmas parties, fundraisers, promotional events, and community events.
Weddings are a big industry as well, and a great place, if you have the passion, to start your event planning business.
Make sure you have the schedule that supports this career. One downside is most weekends, and evenings you are busy. If it's your plan to stay at home with your family, especially on weekends, this may not be the career for you.

Developing a Business name and the process to get started
Once you've decided on what your going to do, then it's "where do I go and what do I do to get started legally."
First thing to do is establish a business name. Once you do, you check to see if that name is being used and go to your City Clerk's office, County Clerk, etc.
From there, it's usually 10-20 to register a DBA, "Doing Business As".
If the name is not being used in your county, you are free to fill out a form to establish the name as your business. Usually it is good for 5 years or so, depending on the state and county.
From there, establish a checking or savings account. Most banks only require a DBA to open an account under that name. You will need to provide that information and your own identity as well.
Many questions to ask is "how will you charge for your business"?
will you accept credit cards, checks, use a pay pal account?
There are many tools that can be used on your phone as well, especially smartphones where you can accept debit and credit cards.
Once you've got your business name, your bank account established, you move on to marketing.
How will you get your name out there?
blog? website? there are so many free websites to make a simple, yet powerful webpage initially.
What about business cards? networking? social media?
The more you do this, the more successful your business will become. What are some other marketing strategies? Please comment if you have some unique ways to get your business out there!

Internet Work from Home
Today there are a lot of things you can do on the internet to make some extra money. Should you sell things on Etsy? Ebay? So many choices. You can also go to alibaba.com and purchase quantities of an item for a very low cost, then sell on internet, or maybe take on the road to local shows, craft shows, etc.
Establishing an ebay business can be lucrative, but there area fee's involved. You can advertise for free on Craigslist's but of course there are safety measures involved with using that site. Each has it's pro's on cons. What other internet jobs are there?
There are many companies looking for people to review or write for them. Technorati is one of them. You can bid on jobs to review or write on different subject matter.
Feel free to comment with other work from home opportunities.
